Move Up
It might be time to move up if these thoughts have been running through your mind: We need more space. The new normal is cramping our style. The kitchen table is my new office and we need a bigger yard. Ah, help!
If your new normal has you standing to eat because there’s no space at the table, if you’re feeling crowded in the clutter and unable to focus on work because of all the distractions, it may be time to move up. Maybe a new place with an office or a finished basement for the kids to play, a man cave, or an indoor she shed. Or maybe a place with a little land so you could play outside in the fresh air or maybe even get a pool.
You’re Not the Only One
The trouble is you’re not the only one feeling that way with the need to move up. The National Association of Realtors is showing a trend of people that are moving out of the city, into the suburbs and beyond. This sudden trend is creating a seller’s market in many areas and there just isn’t enough inventory for everybody. Builders are working harder to keep up, but the houses are flying off the market so quickly.
Closing on Time
There are many obstacles like creating an offer that’ll be taken seriously and ultimately accepted. How about timing the closings for your sale and your purchase so you’re not homeless? That’d be a plus. So following up with your buyer’s agent and their lender is key to make sure that you close on time.
