Everyone is always looking for the magic pill when it comes to things that’ll be a challenge. Selling a home is no different. What if I told you there’s a magic pill and I’ll share it with you in this video?
What if I told you that staging your home to sell is the magic pill for getting your home sold? Would you believe me? Well, let’s look at the facts.
What do the experts say about staging your home to sell?
The National Association of Realtors, or NAR, published a report, the 2021 Profile of Home Staging. And they discovered that 47% of buyers agents said that staged homes affected most buyers view of a home, which can help lead to sell the home faster.
This report also found that 82% of buyers agents said that staging makes it easier for buyers to visualize a property as their future home. Well, that sounds great, right? So which rooms are going to give you the most bang for your buck? It may not be the order that you think. 46% of buyers feel that the living room was the most important, followed by the master bedroom at 43% and the kitchen at 35%.
What does this all mean?
Those numbers make sense to me because it follows the rule that I tell most of my seller clients. When staging your home to sell, start with the rooms that buyers see first and then work onto the hot button rooms, like the kitchen and the master bedroom.
As a side note, I like to consider the exterior and very importantly, the entryway, as the first room that buyers see. Staging a home for sale is a very effective strategy.
